FashioNXT24 Supply Chain Management
This collection, created for and showcased at the FashioNXT 2024 Emerging Designers Show. It features eight original looks that blend classic feminine elegance with an industrial, avant-garde edge. Every piece was meticulously self-patterned, designed, fitted, and altered within a one-month timeframe. All fabrics used in the collection were sourced locally in Portland, OR, utilizing deadstock materials to promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact. The juxtaposition of refined, timeless design elements with raw, industrial influences speaks to a modern reinterpretation of femininity, offering both sophistication and unexpected tension.

Look 1:
Quartzite
In cement production, quartzite is used as a raw material due to its high silica content, contributing to the strength and hardness of the final cement product. Its resistance to weathering and chemical stability also enhances the longevity and performance of cement in various construction applications
Copper
Look 2:
In various industries, copper is widely used due to its excellent conductivity, corrosion resistance, and malleability. Its strength and durability make it ideal for industrial applications requiring reliable and long-lasting materials.
Look 3:
ODOT Green
The color ODOT Green was first used in 1931 on Gothic-style St Johns bridge. The architect, David B Steinman, chose the green color scheme to harmonize with the surrounding landscape. Today the color is used by the Oregon Department of Transportation on traffic signs, roadways and equipment for its visibility and association with safety.

The iconic pattern and durable diamond metal sheeting can be traced back to the late 1800s. Its raised pattern provides grip and is especially common in industrial and commercial settings. Today, it continues to be a versatile material in both functional and decorative applications.

Burgundy red became synonymous with boxcars in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, valued for both its practical benefits (hiding dirt and wear) and its elegant, distinctive look. Although the color is less commonly seen on modern freight cars, it still holds a nostalgic place in railroad history and is often used in vintage and heritage railroading today.

Primarily used for energy production, coal, a natural fossil fuel, played a significant role In America's industrial and cultural history. Today it still remains a widely used resource in electricity generation, steel production, and certain industrial processes and is significantly used in specific sectors of the economy.
Crude oil is a crucial raw material that is refined and processed into various products essential for transportation, energy, manufacturing, and daily life. It remains one of the most important energy sources globally, although the shift toward renewable energy is slowly reducing its dominance.
